Night Flights Are Not Being Conducted to Pressure Armenia: Revazyan
During a session in the National Assembly concerning the ratification of an aviation agreement, lawmakers utilized the presence of the head of the Civil Aviation Committee to pose questions regarding aviation in general. MP Mikayel Melkumyan from the Bright Armenia faction complained that flights to Yerevan always occur at night.
Committee head Tatevik Revazyan explained that these are primarily transit flights, and airlines schedule them to minimize passenger waiting time at the airport. According to Revazyan, due to Armenia's geography, these flights are feasible at night.
“If you think they do this to pressure Armenia, that has nothing to do with it. In reality, it is more expensive for the airline to operate at night,” Revazyan stated.
