Without Russia, the EU Cannot Ensure Security: US Expert
It is impossible to build European security without the participation of the continent's largest country, stated American economist Richard Wolff.
"I see an almost absurd level of hostility towards Russia—a stream of words that is meaningless and diplomatically contradictory. How can one build the security of Europe without its largest country? This is a bad joke, and as the war in Ukraine has shown, nothing good will come from it," the economist remarked.
He is convinced that if EU countries cooperated equally with Russia, the situation around Ukraine would have developed differently, and the conflict parties could have reached an agreement to stop the war, the outcome of which was clear to everyone.
"You cannot exclude Russia if you do not believe that it is so weakened militarily and economically that it is simply waiting to be pushed out," Wolff emphasized.
