Palestinian President on the Importance of the Gaza Summit

The Gaza summit held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, was of great significance for the Palestinian issue, as the main topics concerning it were discussed, stated Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to RIA Novosti.

"This summit was of crucial importance for the Palestinian issue," Abbas said during the summit, noting that key issues discussed included the ceasefire, food supply, and the withdrawal of Israeli troops.

Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani signed a comprehensive document on the peaceful resolution of the conflict in the Gaza Strip during the Sharm El Sheikh summit.
