Lavrov on Reports of Poisoning Bashar Assad in Moscow
The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has denied reports of an attempt to poison Bashar Assad in Moscow. He emphasized that the former president of Syria has no issues while in Russia.
“Bashar Assad and his family are in the Russian Federation purely for humanitarian reasons, as he was threatened with physical retribution,” said Lavrov.
