Houthis Strengthen Military Capabilities to Deter Enemies
The Shiite political-military movement ‘Ansar Allah’ (Houthis), which governs northern Yemen, has announced plans to enhance its military capabilities to deter enemies, drawing on its experience from conflicts with Israel. This statement was made by Mahdi al-Mashat, head of the Houthi Supreme Political Council, during a speech marking the 62nd anniversary of the revolution in southern Yemen.
“We will work to develop and strengthen our military capabilities in all areas to counteract the enemy's modern military technologies,” said al-Mashat. He emphasized that the movement’s military development is being undertaken within the framework of readiness for any new situations, aiming to ensure deterrence in the event of a brutal and aggressive attack on the country and its people.
