Dates for School Autumn Breaks Announced
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasyan, has announced the duration of educational activities and the schedule for breaks during the 2025-2026 academic year for students in public educational institutions providing general, specialized, and special state programs.
Classes for students in grades 1 to 12 will commence on September 1, 2025, and conclude on May 22, 2026, under a 5-day workweek, and on May 23 for a 6-day workweek.
The autumn break dates for students in grades 1 to 12 are set as follows:
First Grade:
October 13-24, 2025 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and October 13-25, 2025 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
December 22, 2025 – January 16, 2026 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and December 22, 2025 – January 17, 2026 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
March 16-27, 2026 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and March 16-28, 2026 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
Second Grade:
October 20-24, 2025 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and October 20-25, 2025 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
December 22, 2025 – January 16, 2026 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and December 22, 2025 – January 17, 2026 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
March 23-27, 2026 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and March 23-28, 2026 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
Grades 3-12:
October 20-24, 2025 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and October 20-25, 2025 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
December 22, 2025 – January 5, 2026 (inclusive).
March 23-27, 2026 (inclusive) for a 5-day workweek, and March 23-28, 2026 (inclusive) for a 6-day workweek.
