Trump Discusses Supplying Ukraine with Tomahawk Missiles with Zelensky

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, discussing the possibility of Ukraine acquiring long-range Tomahawk missiles, Axios reported, citing informed sources.

The Tomahawk missiles would allow Ukraine to strike deep into Russian territory, including Moscow. Ukrainians assert that these missiles would help bring Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table.

Sources did not mention any final decision being made. According to one source, the phone call lasted about 30 minutes. Zelensky described the conversation as “very positive and productive.”

Zelensky congratulated Trump on the peace agreement regarding Gaza and stated that if this war could be concluded, “then, undoubtedly, other wars can also be ended, including the war with Russia.”

Additionally, earlier, President Trump had indicated that he was “close to making a decision” to supply NATO countries with long-range Tomahawk missiles for Ukraine. Trump noted that he wants to know what the Ukrainians plan to do with the missiles before the supplies begin.
