The landfill was set on fire to reduce the volume of waste and easily find valuable materials: Mikael Nahapetyan

The dirt visible in the image is Yerevan, and the gray mass spreading over it represents the European ambitions of Armenian officials. This was stated by user Mikael Nahapetyan on his Facebook page.

“If we are serious, they set the landfill on fire to reduce the volume of waste and to easily find useful materials (copper, aluminum, iron) inside. No unknown person can enter that landfill; no outsider has the freedom to operate there because the landfill is a well-organized hierarchical mafia. Everyone knows everyone, and they operate under the direct dictate of the municipality. Everything else is nonsense, and those water trucks are not just watering the fire,” wrote Mikael Nahapetyan.
