"Smoke Coverage Decreased by Half, but Active Hotspots Remain": Tigran Avinyan

Yerevan's Mayor Tigran Avinyan has stated on his Facebook page: "At this time, a total of 320 trucks have transported soil to the Nubarashen landfill. In the area, 32 units of multifunctional and specialized equipment are operating, of which 5 are combat units. The flames have been completely extinguished, and hazardous areas from which smoke is emanating are being covered with soil.

As of 08:30 this morning, the smoke coverage has decreased by almost half, but active hotspots still exist. The work will continue throughout the night until tomorrow morning. Eight poles for external lighting have already been installed, blockades are being constructed, foundational work is underway, and the design and distribution process for the installation of cameras has been completed, along with the renovation of the security post."
