Russia's Message to Armenia

The Russian Embassy in Armenia has congratulated the residents of the capital city, Yerevan, on the occasion of City Day. “We congratulate the residents of Yerevan on City Day. We wish for the continuous development and prosperity of Armenia's capital, which combines a vibrant historical heritage with dynamic modernity,” the congratulatory message reads.

It should be noted that City Day, celebrated as “Erebuni-Yerevan,” was first marked in 1968 when the city celebrated its 2750th anniversary. Until 1988, it was celebrated annually; however, after the country gained independence, this tradition was revived only in 1998.
