North Korean leader Kim Jong-un oversaw a grand military parade showcasing a new intercontinental ballistic missile in front of international officials. Reuters reports this information, citing local state media.

The parade marked the 80th anniversary of the ruling Workers' Party's founding. During the military display, nuclear-armed North Korea revealed its advanced Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile.

Attending the celebrations were Chinese Premier Li Qiang, a delegation from Russia led by Dmitry Medvedev, and Do Lam, the head of Vietnam's Communist Party.
