Food Poisoning in Armavir: Several Citizens Hospitalized

Today, information has been received from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Armenia regarding an incident that occurred on the night of October 9, 2025. During the hours between 10 PM and 11 PM, 9 citizens visited the Armavir Medical Center with a preliminary diagnosis of foodborne toxicoinfection. Among the affected individuals, 4 were hospitalized, while 5 received outpatient treatment.

Inspectors from the Rapid Response Division of the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Body clarified that these individuals consumed 'lahmajoun' from a public catering establishment in Armavir and 'ponchik' bought from the 'Ringo' food outlet located at 14 Republic Street. Control measures have been initiated in response.

Samples of the food available at the mentioned establishments have been taken and sent for laboratory examination. The results will be published, and appropriate additional actions will be taken based on them.
