840 Million Dollar Turnover, Over 1000 Jobs: Mining Process Begins at Amulsar Mine
A turnover of 840 million dollars, a tax contribution of 145 million dollars to the state budget, and over 1000 jobs. This information about the Amulsar mine was shared by the Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan.
"Additionally, our people hold a 12.5% stake in this project. All of this is happening at the Amulsar mine, where the mining process has already begun, and the processing phase will soon commence," noted the minister.
The Ministry of Economy reported that Papoyan visited Amulsar to familiarize himself with the mining program. The visit was attended by Vayots Dzor Governor Vahagn Arsenyan, Deputy Minister Edgar Zakaryan, and the representative of the Armenian government on the board of Lydian Armenia, Gnel Sanosyan.
The total investment in the program is expected to amount to 750 million dollars, of which 250 million is allocated for completing construction and commencing operations of the mine.
