Tragic Car Accident in Gegharkunik Province: Casualties and Injuries

On October 9, at 18:27, the crisis management center of the Gegharkunik regional rescue service received information about a road traffic accident on the Geghamasar-Argeguni highway. A vehicle had overturned, resulting in fatalities and injuries, and rescue assistance was required.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that an Opel vehicle had veered off the roadway and ended up in a field approximately 10 meters away. Two passengers were reported deceased.

The driver and six passengers were hospitalized in medical centers. Rescuers disconnected the vehicle from the power source and stood by until the gas cylinder was deflated. Earlier reports had indicated that the tragic accident resulted in two deaths and five injuries.
