Macron to Appoint New Prime Minister within 48 Hours

French President Emmanuel Macron will appoint a new Prime Minister within the next 48 hours. This was announced by the current Prime Minister, Sebastien Lecornu.

Lecornu ruled out the possibility of returning to the position of Prime Minister but insisted that a way forward exists and called for the creation of a government that will be completely distinct from aspirations for the 2027 presidential election.

Moreover, Lecornu rejected the possibility of new parliamentary elections.
