Armenia is Ready to Build a Bridge Between These Regions: Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the second "Global Gateways" conference in Brussels, which was also attended by the presidents and prime ministers of more than ten countries.

Pashinyan noted, "It is very symbolic that during the first conference under the title of 'Global Gateways', Armenia presented our newly created 'Peace Crossroads' initiative with a vision of becoming an important junction for East-West and North-South connectivity. As a landlocked country, we fully understand the advantages of all aspects of inclusive and fair connectivity, as the lack of connectivity has long been a significant obstacle to Armenia's development, economic growth, and regional integration.

I am pleased to inform you that today, under the positive developments in establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, our idea of 'Peace Crossroads' is becoming a reality, having the potential not only to change the dynamics in the South Caucasus but also across a much wider geography.

For the first time in modern history, our region is politically and logistically ready to reveal its untapped potential and integrate into a broader, unimpeded connectivity between Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia. The 'TRIPP' project, known as 'The Trump Path for International Peace and Prosperity', is a promising investment program that opens up numerous cooperation opportunities—from railways to energy.

Therefore, the increasing involvement of the European Union in the South Caucasus and Central Asia is happening at a very opportune moment, and Armenia is ready to build a bridge between these regions, boosting not only infrastructural connections but also the interoperability of digital, energy, and regulatory domains and aligning with the European Union. The relations between Armenia and the European Union have never been this close. This developing partnership creates unique opportunities for Armenia to partake at a deeper and strategic level in the evolving vision of connectivity in Europe, particularly regarding 'Global Gateways', the Black Sea strategy, the Middle Corridor, the Trans-European Transport Network, and others," the Prime Minister emphasized in his speech.
