Trump: Chicago Mayor Should Face Criminal Charges

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that the Mayor of Chicago and the Governor of Illinois should face criminal charges for failing to protect ICE employees during recent raids.

“The Mayor of Chicago should be in jail for not protecting ICE employees. Governor Pritzker should also be,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.

According to American media reports, employees were attacked by protesters opposing the arrests of illegal immigrants.

In the past month, Trump has threatened to deploy the National Guard to several cities, particularly those governed by Democrats, to combat crime and support immigration officials.
