Because these cases are symbolic.

How are we talking about our homeland? How much do we talk about patriotism? How readily do we label everyone a hero? Then it turns out, wow, a traitor was exposed, wow, a second traitor was uncovered, wow, a third, wow, a fourth. In recent years, we have dozens of cases that one simply cannot confront, cannot believe that this has happened.

We need to understand what we are doing wrong. Also, it is important to come a little more toward the center from our extremes of idealism and despair, to recognize reality in a more balanced way,” he said.
