Turkic World Will Play a More Important Role in Our Region’s Security: Erdogan

We are not only observing the events taking place in the South Caucasus, but we are also supporting steps aimed at establishing peace in the region. This was stated by Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the 12th summit of the heads of state of the Turkic States Organization.

He noted that he expects the continuation of the joint statement signed in Washington on August 8.

“We believe that the Turkic world will play a more important role in the stability and security of our region,” Erdogan said.

“Turkey is not taking on the role of an observer in the processes unfolding in the South Caucasus, but is actively supporting efforts aimed at establishing peace,” the Turkish President stated.
