Police Refuse to Open Path for Bishop Bagrat and Protest Participants
Police have refused to open the road for Bishop Bagrat and the participants of the protest. The police chief announced that the street will remain closed until 22:00. It was announced that the deadline has been extended and, instead of 20:00, the streets will be closed until at least 22:00.
Bishop Bagrat and the protesters wanted to head to St. Anna Church to commemorate the day.
It should be reminded that at 16:00, there was an event at the Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Spendiarian within the framework of the EBRD International Forum, which Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended. Meanwhile, a protest action continues in the yard called by Bishop Bagrat.
Earlier, the police had announced that in connection with the event, to ensure public order and safety, traffic and citizens' movement will be restricted in the streets adjacent to the Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet from 15:00 to 20:00 on May 15.
