One of the Key Outcomes of the Washington Summit is the Opening of the 'Zangezur Corridor': Aliyev

Two months ago, the preliminary signing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the White House in Washington would transform the South Caucasus into a region of peace. This was announced by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the 12th summit of the Turkic Council of Heads of State.

Aliyev emphasized that at the Washington summit, in agreement with the joint call for the closure of the OSCE Minsk Group and associated structures, the remnants of past conflicts have also been eliminated by the OSCE's decision on September 1.

He further added that one of the key outcomes of the Washington summit is the opening of the 'Zangezur Corridor'. According to him, the 'Zangezur Corridor' is an important transportation artery and an additional route for both the Middle and North-South corridors.
