No Alarm: Akhverdian on Assuming the Position of Parakar Community Leader

"I have lost a close friend, I am not thinking about anything and I am not alarmed," said Onik Akhverdian after taking office as the head of the Parakar community during a conversation with reporters.

Regarding other factions, Akhverdian noted that he has no problems with anyone. When asked why they did not participate in the council meeting, Akhverdian found it difficult to answer, speculating that they simply did not wish to take part in the voting.

In response to the remark that there were previous rumors about the Prosperous Armenia Party possibly convincing some members of the "Unity" bloc to express distrust in the mayor and appoint their own candidate, Onik Akhverdian responded, "I trust our teammates, and I believe they are unlikely to go along with such a thing."

As we reported, the Parakar community council convened today and unanimously elected Onik Akhverdian, representing the "Unity" bloc, as the community leader.
