Merkel's Statement Provokes Anger in Poland
The former Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, has made a statement suggesting that Poland and the Baltic states have indirectly incited the onset of the special operation in Ukraine, causing a diplomatic dispute between Warsaw and Berlin, reports the British newspaper The Telegraph.
“Ms. Merkel's intervention has caused outrage in Poland, with one former prime minister suggesting that her complacency towards Russia has seriously harmed European security,” the article states.
