Armenia Should Remove Territorial Claims Against Azerbaijan from Its Constitution, Bayramov
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, stated that the Organization of Turkic States has the potential to play a more significant role in shaping the new architecture of international security as a symbol of unity.
“For decades, Azerbaijan's consistent efforts and targeted actions aimed at resolving the relationship with Armenia, which has been in conflict, are also directed towards establishing peace and stability in our region. As is known, following Azerbaijan's full restoration of sovereignty in 2023, direct communication and joint efforts between the parties for regulating relations with Armenia have intensified.
In this context, the summit held in the United States on August 8 and the signed documents are of historical significance. To adequately appreciate this historic opportunity and to sign a peace treaty, it is necessary for Armenia to remove its territorial claims against Azerbaijan as enshrined in the Constitution,” Bayramov noted.
