Prove That the People Stand Beside You: Arusyak Julhakyan
There will be a statement, there will be a legislative procedure to express a lack of confidence in the Prime Minister, but the people are absent, Mr. Mamijanyan. When the people come, then let’s talk. This was stated by the member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" party, Arusyak Julhakyan, addressing the leader of the "Honorary Title" faction, Hayk Mamijanyan.
“At this moment, we have the following picture: In the 2021 elections, you participated, and the "Honorary Title" alliance received 66,650 votes. A total of 1,281,997 citizens participated in the elections. The "Civil Contract" party received 688,761 votes. You received more than ten times fewer votes in those elections and didn’t even surpass the electoral threshold,” noted the MP from the CP.
He added that the opposition couldn’t even consolidate 10% of the votes they received in the streets. “In 2021, you did not receive a mandate from the people to remove us, but on the contrary, we did receive it. You need to show that the people have come and stand beside you so that we can say, ‘Alright, the people came, we must leave,’” Julhakyan stated.
