Protests and Actions in Turkey in Support of Gaza

In support of Gaza, which is under Israeli attacks, a march titled "Marching Towards Freedom" was held on October 5 in Istanbul, starting from the Hagia Sophia square and reaching the Eminönü neighborhood. This was reported by Ermenihaber.am.

It is noted that similar events have also taken place in Ankara, Izmir, and several other cities. In Istanbul's Üsküdar neighborhood, a gathering continues to support the "Global Sumud" fleet heading to Gaza to deliver humanitarian aid.

Earlier, Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a stern statement condemning the Israeli actions in international waters that targeted the "Global Sumud" fleet, which was delivering humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza. The statement emphasized that the attack was a "terrorist act that endangers the lives of peaceful civilians, distinguishing not between the guilty and the innocent." Turkish citizens have also been detained by the Israeli military, and Turkey has officially promised to secure their release within a few days.
