Orbán's Sharp Response to Zelensky's Blackmail

The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, has responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's proposal to lift Hungary's veto on Ukraine's EU membership. He made his statement on the social media platform X.

“Zelensky is once again employing his usual moral blackmail tactic to coerce countries into supporting his military efforts. No country has ever been subjected to blackmail on its path to joining the European Union, and this time will be no different,” Orbán replied to Zelensky's claim that Ukraine will be in the EU ‘with or without Orbán’.

The Hungarian leader also reminded that after the results of the referendum held in June, the Hungarian people voted against Ukraine's accession to the European Union.
