Amulsar Work Reported at Prices 20 Times Higher, Says Sergey Bagratyan
Member of the National Assembly from the Prosperous Armenia faction, Sergey Bagratyan, proposes the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to verify the report submitted by the company operating Amulsar, Lydian Armenia.
According to Armenpress, Bagratyan made this announcement during a National Assembly session on September 12. He stated, "The figures presented in the reports of Lydian Armenia, the company exploiting Amulsar, are significantly inflated according to our experts' calculations. We have met with employees from Jermuk and Gndevaz who were involved in the construction work, and they will help us clarify that the work carried out there has been documented at prices 10 to 20 times higher than actual. Based on the evaluations of our Armenian specialists, those works should not exceed 20 million dollars. I propose that we form a committee today to investigate the issues related to mining, including taking note of these expenses and presenting them to the public."
