Explore European Experience Relating to Certain Opposition Groups: Ashotyan
Armen Ashotyan, Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, writes on his Facebook page: "I was carefully following the discussions regarding the statement we authored in the National Assembly's Legal and Judicial Affairs Committee. First, I want to say that Haik Mamijanyan, Anna Mkrtchyan, and Tigran Abrahamyan demonstrated a high-quality political stance and discourse. I also thank the current deputies of the 'Hayastan' alliance for their active and substantial engagement.
The barrage of well-founded arguments stood in stark contrast to the demagogic empty rhetoric and slick talk from the ruling party. In political mini-battles, opposition representatives were several heads above in terms of persuasion. While reading the international press, I came across a report that an initiative to express no confidence in the President of the European Commission is being discussed in the European Parliament, with some members of the ruling EPP group possibly joining in.
The ruling party lawmakers, who have proclaimed the path to Europe, would benefit from studying the European experience regarding how to express no confidence in a government leader. As they say, 'Never say never.' By the way, this also pertains to certain opposition-aligned groups. Nikol and his management are catastrophic, and this fact should not be recorded through voting. After all, the cancer that has been discovered is cancer, regardless of whether the patient votes in favor of the diagnosis or not," wrote Ashotyan.
