EU Commission President Calls for Preparedness for Struggle
Ofelya
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has called on the European Union to prepare for battle, noting that the threat comes from the eastern flank.
“We are under threat from our eastern flank. The international order is under threat and deteriorating faster than we had thought or expected. We are living in a time of great uncertainty. It is because of this chaos in which we must navigate that I stated at the beginning of my 'State of the Union' address that Europe must prepare for struggle and unite to win this battle,” she said during a debate in the European Parliament regarding a vote of no confidence against the Commission.
