The Opening of Communications Benefits Both Armenia and Azerbaijan: Nikol Pashinyan

We need to move forward, and the way to do that is through what is currently being discussed: the opening of our regional communications and roads, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during his visit to the Aragatsotn Province.

“No matter what anyone says, the issue of opening communications is mutually beneficial. If someone claims that the opening of these roads benefits only Azerbaijan, do not believe it. If someone claims that the opening of communications benefits only Armenia, do not believe that either. The opening of communications, especially in this situation, is advantageous for both Armenia and Azerbaijan,” the Prime Minister declared.

According to Pashinyan, this is beneficial for Azerbaijan because it needs communication links with Nakhchivan, and it is beneficial for Armenia as it requires a reliable railway connection with Russia and Iran. “This means that our country's economy can significantly change,” the Prime Minister added.
