Digitalization of Citizenship Application and Termination Processes

The electronic management system for citizenship affairs has been launched. Starting from January 1, 2026, the acceptance of applications and registration will be carried out exclusively through the electronic system for citizenship affairs (mcs-citizenship.am).

Applicants will have the opportunity to register online on the platform, create, edit, and submit preliminary applications for obtaining or terminating Armenian citizenship, and schedule a visit to the Migration and Citizenship Service for a date no earlier than January 22, 2026.

At a specific stage of the procedure, applicants will be required to visit the office of the Migration and Citizenship Service in person for physical identification and verification of original documents.
