Which Products Increased in Price in September

The annual inflation rate in the consumer market of Armenia for September 2025 compared to September 2024 was recorded at 3.7%. This information was reported by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the committee's data, a price increase of 5.8% was observed for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in September 2025 compared to September 2024. The price of bread increased by 5.0%, flour by 7.2%, chicken by 1.9%, while prices for beef, lamb, and pork rose by 3.1%, 4.9%, and 9.4%, respectively. The price of sunflower oil saw a rise of 15.9%, confectionery by 1.6%, chocolate by 10.4%, ice cream by 10.5%, tea by 3.5%, coffee by 14.2%, and cocoa by 21.7%.

During the reported period, the prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 4.7% and 8.3%, respectively. In contrast, the prices of eggs and buckwheat decreased by 3.0% and 0.6%.

Vegetable prices increased by 2.4% and fruit prices by 12.4% in September 2025 compared to the same month in 2024. Regarding fuel prices, the committee noted that there was a 1.1% decrease in gasoline prices and a 1.5% increase in diesel prices in September 2025 compared to September 2024, whereas compared to August, prices have increased by 4.4% and 3.9%, respectively.

As for liquefied hydrocarbons (butane, propane, etc.), a price drop of 15.2% was recorded in September 2025 compared to September 2024. The average monthly price of liquefied hydrocarbons in September was 193.6 drams.

In September 2025, the average exchange rate of the Armenian dram against the US dollar was 382.8 drams, which is 1.2% lower than the corresponding figure in September 2024 (387.4 drams).
