Azerbaijan is a gold reserve for the European Union. According to Azerbaijani media, this statement was made by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán ahead of the summit of the European Political Community in Copenhagen.

"Azerbaijan is the EU's gold reserve because we have many difficulties related to energy, while you are very rich and you cooperate. You have stable and good leadership; therefore, Azerbaijan is a gold reserve for the EU," stated the Hungarian Prime Minister.
