Prime Minister to Address Prosecutor's Office Demanding Disclosure of Evidence Following Artavazd Minasyan's Statement
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, announced that he will appeal to the Prosecutor's Office demanding that Artavazd Minasyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, disclose evidence regarding his statement alleging that Pashinyan is a state traitor.
"If a person has an 18-page document with evidence, he should send it to the Prosecutor's Office and not disclose it to the public? The public has the right to see it. Let them publish it; there are articles in the Criminal Code concerning false allegations. I will also appeal to the Prosecutor's Office to demand that these facts be disclosed. If the facts are not substantiated, what should we do? Should we be tried for false reporting? Why not?" said Pashinyan in the National Assembly.
