Cybersecurity Law is Very Important and Long Overdue, Says Sukiasyan
The "Cybersecurity Law" is a very important and long-overdue piece of legislation. This was stated by Khachatour Sukiasyan, a member of the parliament from the ruling Civil Contract faction, during the discussion of the draft law.
"Management must take on a very serious systemic nature; we should not separate the private and public sectors. We need to have this platform under the ministry's jurisdiction where daily work is carried out to assess the extent to which private structures in the Republic of Armenia are protected from cyberattacks. Our specialists need to receive training again; they must work with new tools every day because this is an ever-changing field, bringing new dangers every day, requiring new knowledge and flexibility. Our experts must be able to master these new tools, address challenges, and be well-informed about them," he said.
According to Sukiasyan, if we can create this system, it will be viewed as Armenia having this platform, and perhaps we could assist other countries too, as these tools tend to be quite similar.
