The 25-year-old man reported that around 16:30 on September 27, he was approached by compatriots who covered his face with a sheet, assaulted him, and stole 60,000 drams from his pocket. They then forced him into a vehicle, took him to an unknown location, where they contacted his acquaintances and demanded a large sum; after failing to receive it, he was brought back to Romanos Melikyan Street and released.
The relevant documents have been submitted to the investigative department of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. An investigation has been launched under the characteristics of abduction, robbery, and extortion.
As a result of measures taken by Yerevan's criminal police, it has been established that the crime was committed by three male compatriots of the victim, aged 27, 23, and 22.
