Andranik Kocharyan Misinterprets the Regulations Law, Says Simonyan

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, has stated that there are no legal grounds for introducing the report of the inquiry commission investigating the circumstances of the war into plenary sessions, as it is clearly stipulated in the regulations of the National Assembly.

According to Simonyan, the issue is not about whether to publish or not, but rather about the form of publication. He noted, “Nonetheless, the report will be published; it cannot not be published. The question is in what format. Even if it were to enter a full meeting of the National Assembly, it would still be in a closed format.”

Simonyan also mentioned that the chairman of the inquiry commission, Andranik Kocharyan, is misinterpreting the regulations law. “Respecting him, I raised a question regarding the interpretation of the regulations law and received three identical responses,” he added. He further stated that he does not see any dispute with Kocharyan, but rather an issue of interpretation.
