Anahit Avanesyan on the Closure of Medical Centers

Regional medical centers will come under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, and managerial changes will be implemented. Work on the necessary organizational and legal arrangements for this transition has been completed. This was stated by the Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan during a press conference.

“No medical center will be closed; all regional hospitals will continue to operate in their locations,” Avanesyan said during a meeting with journalists today.

The Minister mentioned that regional hospitals need to be fully equipped according to a master plan. “We plan to expand mammography services in the regions soon,” Avanesyan noted. The Minister emphasized their commitment to construct, renovate, and modernize at least 50 health centers.
