Zahharova Responds to British Minister's Appeal to Putin

The British Secretary of Defense John Healey's message directed at President Vladimir Putin regarding the end of the Ukraine conflict is, according to Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an act of self-accusation for London. This was reported by TASS.

“These are self-accusations. As we say here, a thief's cap burns on his head,” she stated.

Zakharova emphasized that London has “literally confessed to its actions” concerning the Ukraine conflict.

Earlier, Healey addressed Putin at the Labour Party conference held in Liverpool. He declared that the Russian leader “will not win,” thus suggesting that Moscow should move towards peace negotiations.

The minister added that this year, London has provided the largest military assistance to Kyiv in Britain's history.

In relation to this, the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council's Committee on International Affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, noted that Healey acted outside his official authority by addressing the Russian president.
