YouTube to Pay Trump $24.5 Million

YouTube has agreed to pay Donald Trump $24.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by the former president in 2021 regarding the temporary suspension of his account following the Capitol riots.

According to the terms of the settlement, Trump will receive $22 million, which he has already stated will be donated to the National Mall Fund for the construction of a national conservatory hall at the White House. The remaining $2.5 million will be distributed among the other parties involved in the lawsuit.
