Pashinyan on Constitutional Amendments in the Context of Signing the Peace Agreement
In the context of the signing of the peace agreement, there is no need for constitutional amendments, stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
"Azerbaijan claims that there are territorial demands against Azerbaijan in the Armenian constitution, while in September 2024, when the Armenian Constitutional Court was examining the regulations on the joint activities of the delimitation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan, it established that there are no territorial claims against any country in the Armenian Constitution," Pashinyan said.
According to him, when Armenia signs the peace agreement, it must be sent to the Constitutional Court to verify its compliance with the Armenian Constitution.
