Netanyahu Apologizes for Attack in Doha
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has apologized for the recent attack on the Hamas headquarters in Doha, which resulted in the death of a Qatari security official, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
Netanyahu also promised that such attacks on Qatari territory would not be repeated in the future.
Earlier, Israel's Channel 12 television reported that Netanyahu apologized during a phone conversation with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani for violating the country's sovereignty by attacking Hamas leaders in Doha on September 9.
According to the channel, the Israeli Prime Minister called his Qatari counterpart from the White House in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump. During the conversation, Netanyahu expressed regret over the death of the Qatari security official during the attack, the television channel reported.
