It’s a Lie That There Are MPs in the RPP Ready to Join the Impeachment Process, Bakoyan Says

Those making such statements have fooled journalists by claiming that there are MPs in the RPP ready to join the impeachment process. This was stated by RPP MP Rustam Bakoyan during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.

“There is no such thing, there is not even a conversation or discussion. This is a ridiculous topic,” he said.

When asked if he could speak on behalf of all RPP members and if they had authorized him, Bakoyan replied, “I don’t need to be authorized; I guarantee on behalf of myself and my colleagues that there is no one in the RPP faction who thinks otherwise. We are all committed to the same idea. There is no such topic; it is not being discussed in our faction, and I treat that question with a smile. I am surprised that you are asking such a question because this cannot be the case; the team operates as a unit, and if there are issues, they are raised, and solutions are provided for those issues. There is no rift within the team. Once again, I officially declare on behalf of myself and my colleagues that such a thing will never happen, because all the MPs of the RPP do not think otherwise.”

In response to the journalists’ reminder that, for example, Hovik Aghazaryan or Hakob Aslanyan left the party, Bakoyan said, “Anyone who makes actions outside the principles of the RPP, starting from myself, will be effectively expelled from the RPP.
