Hayk Sargsyan on Alen Simonian's Disciplinary Proceedings Against Him

“Alen Simonian submitted a request to the ruling party's administration to initiate disciplinary proceedings against me on March 4, 2025. That was the day when my proposed package of bills was being discussed in the National Assembly, which aimed to double the tax burden in the gaming sector. Fortunately, the proceedings did not interfere, and the law was passed the next day,” said Hayk Sargsyan from the ruling party during a conversation with journalists, addressing the recent incident.

“I see a direct connection as to why Alen Simonian submitted the request for disciplinary accountability against me specifically on March 4, rather than any other day,” he added. Earlier, it became known that based on Simonian's request, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against Sargsyan, resulting in a severe reprimand being issued to him.
