Putin Instructs the Russian Armed Forces
From October 1 to December 31 of this year, 135,000 citizens aged between 18 and 30 will be called up for military service in Russia. This information was reported by the Interfax news agency.
According to the publication, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a corresponding decree regarding the call-up of citizens for military service in October-December 2025 and the release of those serving on conscription.
"From October 1 to December 31, 2025, the call-up of 135,000 citizens of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 30, who are not in the reserve and are subject to military service, shall be carried out in accordance with Federal Law No. 53-FZ of March 28, 1998, 'On Military Duty and Military Service,'" the document published on the official legal information internet platform states.
Additionally, according to the decree, servicemen, sailors, sergeants, and warrant officers whose terms of military service have expired must be discharged from military service.
