Narek Sargsyan on the Dismissal of the Head of the Criminal Police of Armavir

In recent days, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has refrained from commenting on the investigation of crimes in Mrjavank, a stance aimed at avoiding further escalations, said Narek Sargsyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during a conversation with reporters.

When asked why only the head of the Criminal Police of Armavir was dismissed, Sargsyan responded: “Not only Bdoyan has been dismissed from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In the first six months of this year, the Minister of Internal Affairs personally summarized the performance of services in all regions, and after visiting Armavir, the minister expressed concern regarding the work related to interpersonal conflict situations in the region and instructed to intensify efforts in this area. Literally days after the summary, the commander of the patrol service brigade of the region was relieved of duty, as well as the head of the community police department in Vagharshapat.”
