Something That Has Never Happened in the History of the National Assembly: Haik Mamikjanyan
According to Haik Mamikjanyan, the head of the "Honorary Right" parliamentary group, those appointed by the National Assembly have tried to obstruct the organization of hearings. During parliamentary hearings, he stated: "First of all, let’s start with the fact that around 300 people registered to participate in the hearings, but only 160 were confirmed to be present, which is something that has never happened in the history of the National Assembly; there has always been a larger number of people allowed inside during hearings. Meanwhile, they were trying to completely deny and not provide an opportunity for hearings. Nevertheless, we have achieved our goal, and I am confident that we will have productive work."
Haik Mamikjanyan was the first to speak at the parliamentary hearings organized for the purpose of filing an impeachment motion against the Prime Minister, stating that "the impetus for initiating impeachment is to counteract the anti-state actions of the rulers in our country, and they have done everything possible for parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition forces to be able to discuss practical solutions to achieve a change of power in one place." According to Mamikjanyan, during the preparatory phase of the hearings, the Republican Party held meetings and consultations with extra-parliamentary forces to ensure the complete representation of the opposition field.
