Armen Ashotyan, the vice president of the Republican Party of Armenia, made a statement saying, "I do not share many of Mkhitar Sebastyan's political assessments, but I accept him as a high-quality intellectual and an exceptional spiritual figure. I am confident that our disagreements will persist even after his inevitable release.
