Court Convicts Former French President Sarkozy

The Paris court has found former French President Nicolas Sarkozy guilty in a case concerning the financing of his presidential campaign by Libya. This was reported by РИА Новости.
The investigation into the case began back in 2012, following the publication of documents in the media. According to reports, the Libyan authorities transferred 50 million euros to support Sarkozy’s 2007 presidential campaign.
